The hive (Ulej) pattern uses overlapping scale-style tiles to provide broader torso coverage than Western SAPI plates. Vest covers and carriers are NOT included.Compatibility: Select your vest model (6B3 or 6B5-15) at checkout. Tiles are sized to fit the selected vest's hive pockets. They are not guaranteed to fit other 6B-series vest models — contact us if you have a different model.Protection Level: This tile is designed to be worn in conjunction with (ICW) functional soft armor rated at the NIJ HG2 level (under NIJ 0101.07) or the legacy Level IIIA equivalent. The combined system provides NIJ 0101.07 RF2 rifle protection.⚠️ REQUIRED: Soft armor backing. This tile does NOT provide rifle protection on its own. You MUST wear functional, in-service-life soft armor at the HG2 / IIIA level behind this tile for the rated protection to apply. Most soft armor carries a 5-year manufacturer service life — if your soft armor is expired, damaged, or you do not have soft armor, contact Gilliam Arms.
