RJM has now brought together all the technology it has cultivated to date to create the Overture overdrive, the manufacturer's first effects pedal. Overture is a fully programmable overdrive pedal that, while featuring pure analog circuitry, can save knob positions and switch states and instantly recall them. This pedal delivers true analog sound, not digital modeling or simulation, and is truly a new dimension in effects pedals. It features a total of six overdrive modes: four inspired by classic masterpieces and two unique RJM modes. You can preset your favorite tones by setting each knob, switch, and drive mode, and you can call up up to 8 presets on the main unit alone, or up to 100 presets using a MIDI device. You can use an EXP pedal connected to an external MIDI controller to change the settings of each knob in real time while you play. When combined with a controller with diverse MIDI functions, such as RJM's Mastermind GT and PBC series, the sound creation possibilities and reproduction capabilities are endless, providing the ideal sound variations that players can imagine. While the unit itself can handle detailed editing, editing is even easier if you use the editor software provided free of charge by the manufacturer. *The editor software is scheduled to be released around summer 2021. ■OVERDRIVE MODES Clean Boost: RJM original sound, with the highest output level, perfect for pushing the gain of guitar amps. Classic: A homage to the most famous overdrive pedal. A smooth yet aggressive sound with an emphasis on the midrange. *1 Boutique: Less compressed and more open sound than Classic mode. *1 Versatile: The flattest sound of the modes. The BASS knob allows for a wide range of tone shaping.・Smooth: The highest headroom and a highly saturated sound thanks to the use of a MOSFET clipping circuit. Crunch: RJM's original sound, featuring an aggressive midrange comparable to an amplifier. *1: The BASS control is not active in Classic and Boutique modes. ■ FRONT PANEL CONTROLS・PRE-BOOST: Gain boost of up to +12dB is possible. Press and hold to lock it in the always-on state.・GAIN: Controls the gain amount.・VOLUME: Controls the master volume.・BASS: Controls the low frequencies. (Not active in Classic and Boutique modes.)・TREBLE: Controls the high frequencies.・Preset LED: Displays the preset number. (Preset 1-4: RED LED / Preset 5-8: GREEN LED)・MODE Switch: Selects overdrive mode. Press and hold to store a preset. SOLO Footswitch: This is a switch to select solo presets (Presets 5-8). It can be used to turn on the PRE-BOOST function for the currently selected preset, change the overdrive mode, and perform other settings. ON/OFF Footswitch: This is the effect ON/OFF switch. The LED lights red when the effect is ON, and turns green when you change the preset. The LED lights red again when you store the changes.
