Barbara Lewis This 1970 etching on paper abstracted cityscape is by Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker Barbara Lewis (1925-2008). Lewis studied at the Art Institut e of Chicago (1943), University of Illinois at Chicago (1967-70), and the IIT Institute of Design (MFA in Printmaking, 1970-72). Through her mixed-media compositions, she explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often using imagery of Chicago and her travels to Europe and Northern Africa. 1970 Etching on Paper 13.5"x21" framed, 3.5x9" unframed Signed and dated lower right. Framed in a contemporary black wood frame using white archival matting behind conservation clear glass. Excellent vintage condition. Show more
