Barbara Lewis This 1970s colorful typesetting abstract serigraph on paper is by Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker Barbara Lewis (1925-2008). Lewis studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (1943), University of Illinois at Chicago (1967-70), and the IIT Institute of Design (MFA in Printmaking, 1970-72). Through her mixed-media compositions, she explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often using imagery of Chicago and her travels to Europe and Northern Africa. 1970s Serigraph on Paper 14.75"x14.25" framed, 6.5"x6" unframed Framed in a contemporary swirly black and white wood frame using white archival matting behind conservatin clear glass.
