El Hombre's development began with the goal of achieving the superb guitar tone overdrive sound heard in the early 1970s works of Billy Gibbons, the guitarist of the Texas-based band ZZ Top. The Bite control allows for significant changes in drive style simply by manipulating the tone controls, and depending on the settings of each control, it offers high-quality tones that cover a wide range of genres, from blues and rock to fusion and jazz. El Hombre is an incredibly well-balanced overdrive that stimulates creativity in any musical style, and its simple controls allow for versatile sound shaping. It features a sturdy metal enclosure, similar to the existing Tour Series, but in a very compact size. The input and output terminals are all located on the back, so it doesn't take up extra space when using multiple effects. Power can be supplied by a 9V battery or a power supply (sold separately).
