Developed by D'Addario's talented engineers, the VENN reed heralds a new era in woodwind instruments. The VENN reed offers the same rich tone and playing feel as a natural cane reed, while retaining the stability, longevity, durability, and uniformity of resin reeds. To get as close as possible to the material and properties of cane, we thoroughly re-analyzed cane and layered it with polymer fibers of various strengths, adding resin and cane particles to create reed blanks. The result is a superior reed that sounds and feels like cane, but lasts longer than cane reeds. ■Relaunch on May 25, 2022!
