From a very famous designer, this is a gorgeous nubby virgin wool blend windowpane plaid (2.5"H x 2.5"V repeat), a suiting/coating weight from Italy (Piacenza). It is highly textur ed, like a knotted rug, and is opaque with body in the drape. The colors are charcoal, black, tomato, winter white, powder blue and camel (PANTONE 18-0000, 18-1550, 15-1314, etc.), and it has a unique weave of thicker and thinner yarns to create the unusual surface texture which is the same on both sides. It is medium-heavy weight with body in the drape. It does have a certain "roughness" to it which feels good to some, perhaps may feel scratchy to others.
