The Kilt V2 retains the same circuitry as the version 1, a heavily updated dirt box based on the legendary Expandora fuzz pedal, while giving you even more tonal options than ever before. It uses specially selected op amps with ultra-low noise, a smoother slew rate for response, and better character than the original Expandora. Plus, it features three toggle switches for expanded tonal options. The CUT/FLAT toggle allows you to cut out unwanted low-end frequencies to better fit in your band's mix. When set to the FLAT position, it covers up the bass response that was sorely lacking in the original Expandora, making it a great match for heavy guitar riffs and bass. The G1 and G2 toggle switches allow you to select a variety of distortion variations by switching the input and output of the clipping section in the circuit using resistor values. This method is very different from the diode clipping selectors found in most drive pedals. This gives you a wide range of sound and tone options.
