A boutique pedal from Pedaltrain, the leading pedalboard manufacturer! Pedaltrain's headquarters are located near Nashville, Tennessee, USA. If you love music or instruments, this is a place name that will ring a bell, and it goes without saying that it is home to some of the finest musicians and builders. The owner, Jim, is a huge pedal enthusiast with extensive experience as a music producer. The shelves in Jim's office are lined with countless pedals, including several different versions of the same model, which shows his level of enthusiastism. Given these factors, it may have been inevitable that we would one day produce pedals under the Pedaltrain brand. Two types will be released this time: Daylight (overdrive) and Nightlight (distortion). What's more, we will be releasing a premium version called the "First Edition" first. Each model is a special edition, with only 100 units produced worldwide, and is made using the highest quality parts, all hand-wired by builder Aaron Wahl. In addition, Aaron Wahl and Jim thoroughly inspected the product to compare the sound with the reference prototype, and wrote their approval signature on the inside of the back cover. (The specifications for the general model scheduled for release after 2023 will be different.) Only 30 of the 100 limited edition units (with serial numbers) will be shipped to Japan this time. ...By the way, it seems that some of the 100 cars were taken by very famous musicians, with numbers corresponding to their birthdays. Daylight is a bright-sounding overdrive with targeted clipping, as the name suggests. It features a wide dynamic range and a sound that features musically appealing points. It also responds sensitively to the volume control on the guitar. The distortion range is very wide, allowing you to create sounds ranging from a low-gain booster that increases harmonics to a drive that's strong enough to play riffs. However, since it does not force clipping, it does not change the character of the pedal, so even if you switch from clean or crunch, it does not feel strange (the sound does not get crushed), which is another great feature of this pedal.
