Rev Amplification, a high-end Canadian amp and effects brand, has released the G3 overdrive/distortion pedal. Development of the G Series drive pedals began with the goal of creating an overdrive pedal with a high-quality tone that was reminiscent of one of the channels of the company's boutique amplifiers. The G3 pedal offers a wide range of sounds, from tight overdrive that allows you to create sounds like late 70s and 80s hard rock, to deep distortion sounds like late 90s high-gain amps. Additionally, by operating the aggression switch located in the center, you can switch between three drive styles: BLUE/OFF/RED, allowing you to change the tone nuances. This overdrive pedal allows for a wide variety of sound creation depending on the settings of the drive switch and each control. It is extremely lightweight, weighing less than 300g, yet has a durable metal casing, and the input and output terminals are concentrated on the back, so there is no extra space required even when using multiple effects side by side. Furthermore, it is designed to be highly compatible when connected to either analog devices such as amplifiers or digital interfaces. The power supply is 9VDC and can only be powered by a power supply (sold separately). It features a true bypass design that outputs the signal without passing through unnecessary circuits when the effect is off.
