From a NY designer, this is a stunning double border embroidered cotton woven in in white with dark navy embroidery. It is a shirting weight with a cottony crisp drape. Both selvag es have a decorative floral embroidery that extends into the fabric 9" and then thins out with two staggered rows of a leaf motif. The base fabric is semi-sheer/semi-opaque and the embroidery has a slight sheen that gives it dimension and depth. You may cut in either direction, with the grain or across the grain, to make best use of the scalloped borders.
