Pitch vibrato modulation with two switchable presets! The smooth, deep and three-dimensional vibrato is captivating! When Madison recorded her second full-length album, Who You Are Now, her producer, Tyler Chester, contacted JHS Pedals about incorporating some modulation pedals to develop her new foundational sound. Madison ended up using the JHS Emperor Chorus/Vibrato extensively throughout the sessions as her foundational signature sound. Over the next few years, Madison and Josh became good friends after Josh featured her on the JHS Show episode Who Is Madison Cunningham? Josh often dropped by her concerts as an unofficial guitar tech, building her boards and helping her find solutions for the sound she was looking for. During a soundcheck in Lawrence, Kansas, Josh noticed that even though her Emperor was always in vibrato mode, Madison kept reaching down to set up a different, faster, deeper vibrato tone on certain songs. Wanting to make it more usable live, Josh developed an idea for an entirely new stompbox to suit Madison's needs, and Madison was soon on the road with the first prototype. Madison carried the prototype (you may recognize it as a nondescript black stompbox that says "BLONDE") for a year, performing it live and during sessions for her new album, and now it's officially been released as part of the JHS lineup and as Madison Cunningham's signature pedal, the Artificial Blonde. It's a very simple approach: a 3D pitch vibrato sound. The secondary footswitch toggles between two speed/depth preset sections, making this a true pitch vibrato modulation pedal with two modes that are easy to use live. Simply put, this is Madison Cunningham in a box. Just plug it into a Fender-style clean amp and tune your guitar strings!
