6th plate, c1860 ruby ambrotype behind mat and glass in its full,original case. The woman appears to be wearing a human hair memorial brooch and possibly Whitby jet? bracelets. Hou ses in a rare, but unfortunately damaged union case… the ambrotype, however, looks to be in VG antique condition.. the underside of the glass could use some cleaning.
