Slim programmable switcher with 5 loops and MIDI I/O! The One Control Caiman Tail Loop is a programmable switcher with MIDI functionality that takes up little space on your board and is easy to carry around in a small, lightweight enclosure. The Caiman Tail Loop is a switcher that can be programmed to control the ON/OFF of five serial effect loops, as well as two latch switches, five MIDI program change numbers (PC), and five MIDI control change numbers (CC). It can store 150 programs. To enable operation of a large number of programs in a compact size, the unit has a three-tiered structure with six lanes, five banks, and five programs in each bank. Bank and lane switching is simple with a single BANK footswitch. In addition to the five effect loops, two latch/unlatch switch signals can be sent, allowing you to change amp channels, remotely control effects, and operate tap tempo. It also has a built-in input buffer, mute switch, tuner output, and six DC outputs that can be used to power effects pedals connected to the loop. In addition, it has a MIDI input, allowing for control from external devices via MIDI, and two Caiman Tail Loops can be linked via MIDI. Features: Programmable switcher with five effect loops. Transmits two latch/unlatch switch signals. Transmits five MIDI PC and five MIDI CC signals. Stores 150 programs. External MIDI control. Independent mute switch. Equipped with a BJF Buffer circuit for natural tone. Compact (440 (W) x 55 (D) x 33 (H) mm), lightweight (approx. 620 g) housing. Banks and lanes The Caiman Tail Loop has six lanes, A to F, each with five banks, and each bank can store five programs. You can easily switch banks and lanes with a single BANK footswitch. Pressing the BANK footswitch increases the bank number by one. If the selected bank is 5, it will return to bank 1. You can change lanes by holding down the BANK footswitch. This structure allows you to easily select from 150 presets in a compact unit. ●Program and Direct Mode The Caiman Tail Loop can be placed into program mode or direct mode by quickly pressing the BANK switch twice. You can switch between program mode and direct mode using the PROGRAM/DIRECT switch. In Program mode, the footswitch toggles the effects loop on and off for the selected program and saves it. In Direct Mode, each effect loop can be turned on/off individually using the PGM1 to PGM5 foot switches, regardless of the current program. ●Latch/unlatch switch The FS1 and FS2 jacks, which are installed separately from the five effect loops, can send latch switch or unlatching switch signals individually. You can also connect a stereo cable to the FS2 jack to send two latch switches with a single cable. This allows you to remotely control amp channels or effects by selecting a program, and when the switch is set to unlatching, it will send a signal every time you press the selected preset switch, allowing it to be used as a tap tempo switch. MIDI Caiman Tail Loop can preset five MIDI program change numbers (PC) and five MIDI control change numbers (CC) in each preset program. These correspond to signals on MIDI channels 1 to 5, respectively. By controlling the switcher on/off and switching between presets for multi-function spatial pedals, you can smoothly switch between a wide range of sounds. It can also control pedals that are not installed in the main unit's effects loop. For example, you can control a spatial pedal installed in the amp's effects loop via MIDI, and control pre-amp effects by turning each effects loop on/off. The MIDI IN terminal also allows you to control the Caiman Tail Loop from an external device. You can connect and link two Caiman Tail Loops, control them simultaneously with other devices, or place the Caiman Tail Loop in a rack case and control it via MIDI. ●BJF Buffer The BJF Buffer is an overwhelmingly natural Buffer that overturns the image that many buffers have. - Set the gain to exactly 1. - Make sure the input impedance does not change the sound. - Make sure the output is not too strong. - Reduce noise to the minimum. - Prevent the sound from deteriorating when overloaded. The BJF Buffer, which met BJF's specific buffer requirements, is helping to provide guitar signals to many professionals around the world. The Caiman Tail Loop is equipped with a BJF BUF IN that buffers the input, and an INPUT that does not buffer the input. You can also use the BJF Buffer on its own by using the BUFFER IN and BUF OUT terminals. When using the non-buffered input, it becomes a true bypass switcher.Input impedance: 500kΩ (when buffered) Output impedance: 100 Ω (when buffered) Power supply: DC9V Size: 440(W) x 55(D) x 33(H) mm (excluding protrusions) 440(W) x 62(D) x 49(H) mm (including protrusions) Weight: approx. 620g
