About the Author Kazuaki Yokoyama Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1985, he began playing drums at the age of three. He began performing locally in junior high school, and has performed with many musicians, primarily in the group of his teacher, Jiro Motoyama. In the spring of his third year of high school, he toured with the Sadao Watanabe Quartet. He has also performed with many international artists, including Junior Mance, Barry Harris, Red Holloway, Sheila Jordan, Eddie Henderson, Wes Anderson, Steve Nelson, Gene DiNovi, and Lew Tabakin. He currently continues to work in various groups, while also engaging in a wide range of activities, including teaching the next generation of musicians at Shobi College of Music and Showa University of Music.
