A special edition pedal paying homage to the world's greatest guitarist, Jimi Hendrix. The distinctive art design is based on the famous poster that adorned the wall of the Shrine Auditorium, the venue for a concert held in Los Angeles in February 1968. The poster design, created by John Van Hamersveld, an artist who, like Jimi Hendrix, is a representative figure of pop culture and the hippie movement, has been specially adapted for this pedal by Simon Berndt of One Horse Town Illustration. The design is based on the floral motifs that symbolize the hippie movement of the late 1960s, when Jimi Hendrix was active. The compact JHMS4 BAND OF GYPSYS™ FUZZ faithfully recreates the Fuzz Face sound heard on Jimi Hendrix's classic Band of Gypsys album. It changes from the aggressive, biting fuzz sound unique to silicon transistors to a clean tone that follows the guitar's volume control, eliminating the Fuzz Face characteristics that supported his performance during his Band of Gypsys days. A TONE knob has been added, allowing for more fine-tuning.-Specifications- Input: Impedance 30 kΩ Output: Impedance Max Volume: 33 kΩ Mid Volume: 80 kΩ Noise Floor: -83 dBV Bypass: True Hardwire Current Draw: 4.3 mA Power Supply: 9 volts DC
