The original design was created by Josh Scott of JHS Pedals and graphic designer Daniel Danger as an homage to the 1970s, the heyday of electro-harmonix design. The EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz is a nano-sized pedal brought to life by the engineers at Electro-Harmonix, capturing all the tone and vibe of Josh's original circuit design. Inspired by EHX's fuzz lineage, the tone retains the vibe of the original design first introduced at the JHS Show in 2022 and features a unique analog octave up circuit. The result is a completely new and unique EHX fuzz sound never before heard. To further tell the story, the pedal features vintage EHX-inspired graphics designed by Daniel. Housed in EHX's nano-sized chassis, the EHX Lizard Queen is a fixed-gain fuzz pedal with Volume, Octave, and Balance knobs. Volume controls the overall output volume level. Octave adjusts the level of the octave-up signal from zero to a chaotic full octave - a great control for accentuating rhythm or lead sounds. Balance sets the tonal balance between the smoother Shadows and the harsher, more biting Sun. The effect of the Balance control is especially noticeable at higher Octave settings.
