Scotty’s Steel Gray finish gives the Studio Xperimental Limited Squareback 2 a stealthy look with the putter’s classic, crisp alignment features presented in a dark, two-tone color palette. With a black, nickel-plated Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) face insert—including feel-enhancing chain-link face milling technology—this compact mallet has an engraved I-beam plumbing neck and multi-material construction for square alignment and higher MOI. With parallel milled sight lines on the topline designed to both indicate the sweet spot on the putter face and frame the line on a player’s golf ball, and a sole draft angle designed for perfectly square setup at address, this tour proven design is precision milled from 303 stainless steel with a custom-engraved, integrated 6061 aluminum sole component. Customizable stainless steel sole weights provide proper weight distribution, while a custom, low-torque graphite shaft provides optimal flex for a high-performance mid-mallet putter with superior alignment properties, outstanding balance, and amazing feel. STEEL GRAY FINISH A finish developed for players who prefer a dark putter and to help reduce sun glare, Scotty’s Steel Gray finish is a durable PVD treatment applied to the stainless steel putter head, while the aluminum sole component has been misted and anodized black. CUSTOM GRAPHITE SHAFT Custom made for the Studio Xperimental Limited release, the counterbalanced carbon fiber shaft provides increased stiffness with optimal flex for stability, forgiveness, precise feel and enhanced distance control. I-BEAM PLUMBING NECK The precision milled I-beam plumbing neck includes custom engraving on each side, reinforcing the industrial look, while providing a full shaft of offset with the familiar view and alignment properties of this tour-tested neck. UNIQUE SIGHT LINE CONFIGURATION Providing a tour-inspired alignment feature from address, the Studio Xperimental Limited putters have short, precision-milled parallel sight lines on the topline, designed to both indicate the sweet spot on the putter face and frame the line on a player’s golf ball, painted jet black for expert setup and alignment. STUDIO CARBON STEEL (SCS) FACE INSERT Delivering the soft sound and feel of precision chain-link milled carbon steel, the Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) insert is treated with an electroless nickel plating in black for enhanced durability and elegant looks with aerospace-inspired vibration damping for tuned sound, feel and performance. CHAIN-LINK FACE MILLING TECHNOLOGY Chain-link face milling technology reduces the putter face insert’s touch points at impact with the ball using a texture that softens the sound and provides improved roll characteristics while preserving feel and feedback off the putter face. MULTI-MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION The Studio Xperimental Limited putters extend Scotty Cameron’s proven design methodology of incorporating precision milled 303 stainless steel with 6061 aircraft grade aluminum to achieve proper balance, alignment and feel.
