The 1966 Tone Bender MK1.5, famous for the mid-Beatles sound Already in 1966, Sola Sound redesigned the original Tone Bender to create a new design, commonly known as the Tone Bender MK1.5. It features the famous Fuzz Face and a circuit inherited from the Vox Tone Bender. The 66 Bender accurately recreates these brilliant designs, using two hand-selected germanium transistors to produce the ultimate 1960s fuzz tone. The 66 Bender is also highly touch-sensitive (like the FUZZ FACE) and responds well to the volume knob. For Beatles fans, this is a classic fuzz pedal that will be well known for the fuzz sound from Rubber Soul's "Think for Yourself."Starting with the March 2018 production model, it is now possible to use an AC adapter (9V, center positive) in addition to battery operation. However, there are some important points to note, such as not being able to use standard BOSS-type 9V center-negative AC adapters, and absolutely forbidden to use daisy-chain connections using branched DC cables.
