A versatile effect that can be used as both a distortion effect and a preamp! This is an all-analog circuit effect that is intuitive to operate. From crisp crunch sounds to growling distortion sounds, this one unit lets you freely create any distortion tone you want. -Features-・BYPASS This foot switch activates the PTPRE (ON/OFF switch). When ON, the red LED lights up. When the bypass switch is OFF, it is true bypass.・PRE BOOST Equipped with a PRE BOOST that can be turned ON/OFF with a mini switch. The high and low frequencies are well controlled, and the midrange is powerfully pushed forward with a solid feel. Ideal for solos and gain boosts. It is also possible to reduce the gain depending on the settings. Distortion This is the heart of PTPRE distortion. It is always active when the Bypass switch is ON. A JFET operational amplifier is used in the amplification stage to achieve distorted sound with rich overtones. Equipped with four knobs: GAIN / BASS / TREBLE / LEVEL. GAIN adjusts the amount of distortion, and LEVEL adjusts the volume. When the GAIN knob is at 0, the sound is roughly crunch. BASS adjusts the low frequency range around 100Hz, and TREBLE adjusts the high frequency range above 500Hz.・BRIGHT Switch Equipped with a bright switch that can be turned on/off with a mini switch. When turned ON, the high frequencies are boosted. This is effective when you feel that the sound coming from the speakers is too dark.・5-BAND PARAMETRIC EQ Equipped with a 5-band parametric equalizer that can be turned on/off with a mini switch. You can select any frequency from each of the five bands and boost/cut it by ±10dB. You can fine-tune the sound to suit any situation.・POST BOOST It can be switched on/off with a foot switch, and can boost the volume by up to approximately +11dB. It is effective when you want to increase the volume of your lead or solo.・NOISE GATE It is equipped with a high-quality noise gate that can be turned on/off with a mini switch. The GATE knob adjusts the threshold. Equipped with a green LED that indicates the operation status of the noise gate. The green LED is lit to indicate that the noise gate is active.・REMOTE The PRE BOOST and 5-BAND PARAMETRIC EQ sections, which are switched on/off with mini switches, can be externally switched on/off by connecting an Ibanez IFS2L footswitch (sold separately). *When a footswitch is connected, the mini switch for the corresponding section will not function.
