The LIFT switch effectively acts as an input boost, distorting the front end of the drive circuit more, creating a more compressed drive tone while retaining dynamic feel and transparent tone. The GAIN and VOL knobs allow for precise adjustment of drive and output level. The pedal's EQ consists of a TREBLE knob for adjusting high frequencies and an active BASS knob for cutting or boosting low frequencies. The BASS knob is particularly effective for adding body to single-coil guitars or tightening up the low end of warm humbucking guitars. The Spruce Goose also features mechanical relay true bypass switching with both latching and momentary functions. Tapping the footswitch will switch it to a normal latching mode, while holding the footswitch will output momentary gain and boost.
