From a designer, this Italian wool doubleknit (may not be all wool, but is mostly wool) is classic and luxurious, and the color is black. It is dense and medium weight, soft with s ome body in the drape, and has a felted texture, although it's not heavy or stiff. It has about 40% widthwise and 20% lengthwise stretch and is perfect for any project that would call for a stable sweater knit or wool knit. It doesn't fray and is the same on both sides, so would work well for unlined or raw edge garments.
