This signature model is designed to be flexible enough for bassists to get the sound they want, and features new, unique switches, DIRT and FILTH, adding more gain and overdrive for a dynamic sound with a razor-edge edge. The product responds differently to different signal levels and your personal touch: for example, higher signals and harder picking will increase the gain and produce more overdrive; lower signals and lighter picking will decrease the gain and produce a cleaner sound. DRIVE Adjusts the overall gain and amount of overdrive. LOW, HIGH Active tone control. Cut or boost from 12 o'clock. This post-EQ section puts complete tone control at your fingertips. Boosting low and high frequencies compensates for the limited range of speaker cabinets and combos. (See 1/4 Universal Output on previous page.) Tip: Set the EQ flat on your mixing board and adjust the SansAmp to taste. If you need a more complex EQ curve, use an equalizer on the console or outboard. LEVEL We recommend setting it at least halfway (12 o'clock). When using with an amplifier: it should be at unity gain (close to or equal to the bypassed signal), otherwise it will overload the amplifier input and cause undesirable distortion.
