From a NY designer, this is a lovely wool blend woven coating, medium weight with a soft drape that has some body. The face has a short-hair, silky/furry texture and the reverse is more of a flat weave. The color is jet black and this fabric does have a nap. It has an exquisitely soft hand and is not weighty.
