With the gain turned up to maximum, you can fully experience the sharp distortion that's not the slightest bit "tube-like" and the distinctive drive sound of the HD130. The passive tone stack is placed before the clipping stage, allowing you to control the texture of the distortion with the High/Low controls, and there's also a Bright/Normal switch to control the edge of the sound. By making full use of these organically interrelated controls, you can use it not only as a standalone distortion pedal, but also as a booster, tone enhancer, or even a preamp pedal, adding a unique sparkle to your sound in any situation or setup.
