The Chatbreaker is a model with a unique story behind it. The development team at Rev Amplification experimented with using artificial intelligence (AI) to design a new effects pedal, and came up with an idea for a circuit based on an overdrive pedal released by a British amplifier manufacturer in the early 1990s. However, this did not work out at all, and the team ended up designing and developing the circuit in-house as a transparent overdrive-style effects pedal suggested by the AI. The Chatbreaker features effective tone shaping, pure sound and power. The all-new voicing circuit allows for a wide range of tones, from classic crunch to hard distortion, with simple controls, allowing you to create the optimal sound for each guitar, regardless of pickup type or body structure. This compact effect unit features a sturdy metal housing, and the input and output terminals are all located on the back, so no extra space is required even when using multiple effects side by side. The power supply is 9VDC and can only be powered by a power supply (sold separately).
