New Old-DI, a DI model developed exclusively by TRIAL, has been upgraded and released as "New Old-DI+"! Since its release as TRIAL's DI model, the New Old-DI has been loved by many professional musicians and band members, as well as sound and recording engineers, and has received high praise and trust in numerous live performance and recording scenes. Due to difficulty in obtaining the parts used, production had been suspended, but new parts have been adopted that further improve the characteristics of the previous model, and it has now been re-released as a new version with the addition of the ``+'' mark. Noise characteristics have been further improved, resulting in a deeper low end. A DI is a device that converts unbalanced signals (common shielded cable type) from instruments and equipment into balanced signals (3-pin cannon type used for microphones, etc.) that can be received by a mixer. The New Old-DI+ uses a transformer in the output section that can convert to a highly symmetrical balanced signal, making it easier to express the vividness of instruments. It has an appealing thickness and richness of sound that cannot be created with EQ or other methods. Furthermore, the buffer preamplifier that drives the built-in transformer uses a circuit with specifications that are sufficient to drive headphones and small speakers, further enhancing the appeal of the transformer. The BUFFERED OUT outputs a signal from another identical transformer built inside. Since it outputs a signal of the same quality as the balanced output, you can send the New Old-DI+ sound not only to a mixer but also to an amplifier. In addition to being able to operate using phantom power and batteries, which are common with DIs, it can also be powered by an effects unit. The 3-way power supply allows for easy placement anywhere and integration into a pedal board.
