Features of the NP-14G/NP-14GL plugs, now unified with a long shell design: The NP-14G/NP-14GL plugs, which have long been highly regarded for their excellent conductivity and sound quality thanks to their 24-karat gold plating, are now unified with a long shell type plug on both sides in the new F201 model. This increased mass allows for even more faithful transmission of the weak electrical signals output from the guitar. Providence's original NP series phone plugs offer reliability and peace of mind. Both the plug body and shell are made from machined brass, resulting in high-quality Japanese-made plugs. Many parts of the manufacturing process require skilled craftsmanship, making them truly handcrafted products. The plug shaft is φ6.3mm. With minimal variation between products, they fit perfectly into the inch-sized (1/4 inch) jacks used on most instruments such as guitars, preventing them from coming loose. The increased contact points between the plug and jack also positively impact sound quality. Furthermore, unlike conventional press-fit plugs, the straight plug has a one-piece structure where the sleeve (negative pole) and base are integrated, making it highly resistant to stress and less prone to damage from bending.
