Hummel: Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major / Author / Edited by Eisuke Yamamoto JAN / 4511005077936 A masterpiece of a trumpet concerto that is widely performed alongside Haydn. This piece was composed in the early 19th century for Weidinger, who invented the keyed trumpet, and is originally in E major. However, it has been revised to the E-flat major key that is more commonly performed today, and is being published with two solo parts, one for B-flat trumpet and one for E-flat trumpet. The accompanying score has been newly reduced for piano by Ms. Yoko Imamura of the National University of Fine Arts and Music from the orchestral score, improving on the difficult playing aspects and lack of effective performance found in previous editions.
