The '78 Tele Bridge pickup is inspired by a unique pickup we ran across in a random ’78 Telecaster from our vintage shop. It was a custom wind of unknown origin…and it sounded amaz ing! After some careful deconstruction we were able to find out what gave that particular pickup its magic and endeavored to pay homage to it. We loved the results, and it has become our go-to pickup for all Hollowtop guitars. The '78 Tele Bridge pickup is wound with an unconventional 41 AWG Single Poly Nylon magnet wire. This gives us a Tele pickup with more mids, bass, and output, without losing that classic telecaster twang. Our unique design also features Alnico 5 magnets that give a strong attack, and cut through a mix with clarity. The ’78 Tele Bridge pickups are wound to provide hum cancelling properties when used concurrently with any of our Tele Neck pickups. Learn more.
