[The fusion of Japanese tradition and German technology / The birth of the SONOR "Keyaki Wood" snare drum] "We combine the traditional Japanese drum hollowing technique, the finest wood native to Japan, and the technological capabilities of Sonor to create a special snare drum." After repeated trials using various wood species, we finally arrived at this "Keyaki Wood" snare drum. Only zelkova trees over 100 years old from the cold regions of northern Japan, harvested specifically for this snare drum, are used.
