The Fortin NATAS pedal is a brutally articulate, bone-crunching modern distortion with all the features that NATAS amplifiers are famous for. This pedal has a lot of tone-shaping features, but the key to finding your perfect tone is the Grind and Girth controls. ■Control ON: True bypass, relay-based soft footswitch. Powers up in the same state as when powered off. KILL: Adds an additional gain stage. BASS: Active circuit controls the low frequency range. MIDDLE: Active circuit, controls the midrange. HIGH: Active circuit controls the high frequencies. MID SHAPE: Apply an EQ curve to your bass tone to get a more modern scooped tone or a classic mid-hump. Tighten up your tone with Hump or go all-out thrash with the Scoop setting. GIRTH AND GRIND: Tone shaping takes place here, both of which boost certain frequencies to liven up your tone.
