// MARCA MIX PACK for Alto Sax // "I've never used Marka reeds before, I wonder what they're like," "I'd like to try different kinds, but reeds are expensive, so I can't buy that many"... To answer these requests, we've introduced a mixed pack containing two reeds each of five different cuts! The price is also a "trial price," so it's easy on your wallet! [Package Contents (2 of each)] Superior (filed cut) This is a basic reed for markers. It's equivalent to Vandoren's "blue box" or D'Addario's "Grand Concert Select." It features a woodwind-like sound, similar to a clarinet.・Excel (File Cut) These reeds are designed with the concept of being usable by musicians of all genres. It has a good response, and even fast passages can be played with ease.・Premium (filed cut) This is the company's highest-grade reed, made by selecting the densest fiber portion from the base of the cane, which is the raw material for the instrument. A similar example of using similar materials is D'Addario's "Reserve." It is characterized by its rich, deep sound. Jazz (filed cut) These jazz reeds have long enjoyed a strong following among some musicians. I would say that this is one of the most representative jazz reeds from Filed Cut. It is characterized by its extended high-frequency range. American Vintage (Unfiled Cut) This is the company's latest model of jazz reeds. Designed with the concept of "reviving the good old American sound for the modern age," this reed features a slightly thicker vamp cut compared to the company's jazz model (unfiled cut), resulting in a rich yet mellow tone.
