In the modern guitar world, Zuul has long been the industry standard for noise gate technology. Here at Fortin, we don't rest on our laurels and are incredibly proud to bring you Z uul+, the pinnacle of gating for electric guitar. Zuul+ retains everything that made the original Zuul legendary, while adding several new, essential features. Zuul+ expands on the "Key In" function (activating the gate after your OD/Boost pedal and reacting to your pure guitar signal) and includes "Key Thru" (with ground lift switch), eliminating the need for an external signal split. New hold and release controls also give you everything you need to ensure pristine gating response in your rig. This pedal is packed with features, all working together to precisely cut the signal to suit your playing style. ■Control BYPASS: True bypass footswitch GATE: Opens the noise gate and adjusts the level required to allow signal through. HOLD: Controls how long the gate remains open while the signal source is paused. RELEASE: Adjusts the time it takes for the gate to completely close after the hold time has ended (fade-out time). A small amount of release will cut off the sound sooner, and a large amount will make the fade slower. KEY IN: Applies to 3CM and 4CM only. Connect your guitar directly to allow Zuul+ to be triggered directly from your guitar. Zuul+ will function fine as a gate without using the Key Input 2CM (cable method), but for best response we recommend using Key In via 3CM (using Roach of Spliff) or 4CM. KEY THRU: Plugs into the rest of the chain on your pedalboard (for 3CM and 4CM). GROUND LIFTSWITCH: Used to eliminate noise that may be caused by ground loops when using the KEY at 3cm or 4cm. ZUUL+ IN: To amp effects (3CM, 4CM) / Instrument in (2CM) ZUUL+ OUT: Time-based effects (3CM and 4CM modulation, reverb, delay, etc.) / Output to the next unit in the chain (2CM).Power: DC 9-12V center pin negative external adapter/power supply only.
