The Soul-Bender is based on the legendary Colorsound and Vox Series III ToneBenders manufactured by Sola-Sound/England in the late '60s, used by Beck and Page on their recordings f rom 1968 to '70. It improves on the original '60s design with more volume, a more usable tone control range, true bypass switching with anti-pop circuitry, better power supply filtering for less noise, and polarity protection to protect the delicate germanium transistors from damage. Featuring three gain-matched germanium transistors, it's capable of producing everything from fat, scorching lead tones to smooth, sizzling treble tones.
