MERAKI is a high-end stereo analog delay using eight MN3005 chips. It produces warm, lush repeats with 1200ms of delay time available in parallel, ping-pong and series delay modes. Independent control of delay time and modulation for the left and right channels allows you to create syncopated repeats or lock them to the same timing for classic delay sounds, making this a superb pedal that will inspire your creativity. ■CONTROLS Mix: Adjusts the overall level of the repeats on both the left and right channels. A perfect wet/dry mix; 50/50 is set around 2 o'clock. Note: This control adjusts both left and right simultaneously. Feedback Left: Adjusts the left channel repeat value from single repeat to full oscillation. Feedback Right: Adjusts the repeat value for the right channel from single repeat to full oscillation. Mod (Mod Rate): Adjusts the modulation depth of the repeats, creating chorus/vibrato effects. BYPASS While holding the switch, adjust the modulation rate with the MOD knob. Time: Adjusts the delay time. Turn clockwise for a longer delay time, and counterclockwise for a shorter delay time. The delay time range is 80-1200ms. For the shortest delay time, set it to an eighth note. Tone: Use the TONE knob to adjust the delay tilt and EQ. Turning it clockwise cuts the low frequencies and boosts the high frequencies, while turning it counterclockwise cuts the high frequencies and boosts the low frequencies. Tap Division Left Switch (Mod Wave Shape): Choose between quarter notes, dotted eighth notes, and eighth note repeats on the left channel. Hold down the BYPASS switch and use the DIV L switch to choose between sine, square, and random waveforms. Tap Division Right Switch (Mod Phase): Choose between quarter notes, dotted eighth notes, and eighth note repeats on the right channel. Hold down the BYPASS switch and use the DIV R switch to select the phase type from 0-90-180. 0 is in-phase for a classic modulation sound, and 180 is out-of-phase for a wide modulation sound, with the left going up and the right going down. Feedback Mode Switch: You can choose between P (Parallel), PP (Ping Pong), and S (Series) delay. Sync/Left/Right Switch: You can choose whether to adjust the left or right side of the pedal. SYNC adjusts both left and right, L adjusts only the left, and R adjusts only the right. This is where the magic of the pedal happens: you get completely independent time, note length and modulation depth/rate/shape. Try using mismatched times to set the feedback just before oscillation, then adjust the note length to create interesting pad-like sounds. Tap Tempo Switch: Used to set the delay time. Press and hold to maximize the feedback (oscillation) of the left and right channels. Releasing the switch will return it to the feedback knob level. External Tap/Expression: Use it to control tap tempo, or use an expression pedal to control time or modulation depth. Remove the back plate and use the internal DIP switch to select external TAP or expression. Time/Modulation selection: Press and hold both switches while holding down the pedal. With the switches held down, turn the TIME and MOD knobs to assign the control to be adjusted by the expression pedal. By using MIDI, you can expand the expression assignment options. Feedback Control: Use these internal trimpots to adjust the speed at which the delay repeats automatically enter oscillation. In other words, how quickly the pedal takes off into space and goes "warp warp" crazy while you hold down the TAP/OSC switch. Turning the trim pot clockwise will slow down the pedal's vibration speed, and turning it counterclockwise will speed up the pedal's vibration speed. Please note that there are two trim pots: one for the left channel and one for the right channel.Frequency response: 60Hz to 20kHz Noise Floor: -94dBu (Dry), -86dBu (Wet) Input impedance: ~1M Ohms Output Impedance: ~100 Ohms Power consumption: 9VDC, 500mA Bypass options: True bypass (no trail) Buffer bypass (trail) Size (including knob/jack): Height: 60mm Width: 127mm Height: 149mm
