The MXR M307 Layers is a next-generation effect that creates sonic spaces like you've never experienced before. The MXR FX-1000 overlays the input guitar or bass sound into three layers, creating a dreamy, deep, ambient sound. It packs a wealth of expressive power previously impossible with conventional pedal effects into an MXR pedal-sized unit, offering musicians an unprecedented experience that will inspire their creativity. ●Sound space created by layers You can layer sounds on up to three layers, allowing you to freely create anything from natural expression to grand, deep sounds. Three LEDs on the top of the unit indicate which layer is active. The sounds of the layers overlap each other, creating a wall of sound and enabling chord construction that would be impossible with normal performance. By turning on the SINGLE switch, each layer operates independently, allowing you to play chords or single notes continuously and play solos on top of them, providing free expression. You can add layers using either a footswitch or the TRIG knobs. With the footswitch method, the sound you play while holding down the switch is added to the new layer, allowing you to layer sounds in a live setting. Alternatively, you can set the input sensitivity with the TRIG knobs so that every note you play is automatically added to the layer. By combining these two methods, you can layer up to three sounds, allowing you to create complex layered sounds. ●Versatile sound-making: Using the knobs on the top of the unit, you can create a more fantastical and colorful sound space. The ATTACK knob controls the attack of each layer, the MIX knob adjusts the volume balance, and the DECAY knob adjusts the layer's sound from a natural decay to infinite sustain. Pressing the SUB OCT button allows you to add a sound one octave lower to the layer sound. In addition, by combining buttons and knobs, you can intuitively control chorus effects, delay times, and texture effects that express complex fluctuations.
