The built-in microphone preamp provides 75dB of gain and utilizes Apogee's legendary Advanced Stepped Gain technology, ensuring a clear, distortion-free sound image regardless of gain setting. It also shares the same ADC chip as the Symphony I/O mk2 SE model. The DAC uses the latest ESS Sabre chip. Separate chips are used for the line and headphone outputs. The ample drive capacity maximizes DAC performance. Additionally, two zero-ohm headphone outputs are provided. Low distortion ensures ideal monitoring, regardless of the type of headphones.
