A 2-in-1 with Halbard and Germanium Boost that work synergistically. Each side can be turned on/off individually, and by default it's connected from Germanium Boost to Halbard. It's a great setup for taking your drive sound up a gear, but there are also independent inputs and outputs to each pedal to give you more options! As mentioned above, if you're going from Germanium Boost to Halbard, then you can simply use IN 1 and OUT 2. Additionally, by using OUT 1, the output of Germanium Boost, and IN 2, the input of Halbard, you can output from Halbard to Germanium Boost, or place another pedal between the two. You can even set up in parallel or dual mono. The artwork by Bryan Aiken features the Benson Amp's distinctive floral tolex (Aunt Gertie) in a medieval style, likening it to a halberd, a weapon used in medieval Europe. The Halberd + Germanium Boost beautifully blends the noble sounds of both brands, so be sure to get one for your feet.■ Control Boost: Germanium Boost output level. The higher the better. Pre: Overall input gain level. Turn clockwise to increase overall signal gain. Light compression at low gains. Clipping increases with pickup character and Depth settings for a medium gain drive tone. Depth: Adjusts the low frequency shelving filter located in the input stage. Turning clockwise increases the bass components for a smooth, fuzz-like drive. Turning counterclockwise cuts the bass for a jangly sound. It interacts strongly with the Pre knob. Tone: Adjusts the high shelf cut located in the output stage. Turning clockwise opens up the high frequencies, while turning counterclockwise makes them darker. Below 9 o'clock there is a noticeable bass boost, which interacts with the Post setting. Post: Overall output level. Can be set very loud. This control is buffered to maintain maximum resolution at any setting. Voice: Changes the voicing of the overdriven signal. Top: Clang-clang. Adds a significant high-mid boost for an aggressive sound. Middle: Standard. Bottom: Deep. Adds a full-range gain boost for a heavily saturated tone.
