The Sir-Compre is an optical compressor pedal equipped with Photocells, and features a wide-range gain knob, a surprise unique to Friedman. This wide-range gain knob is the heart o f the Sir-Compre, allowing you to shape a wide range of sounds from ultra-clean to semi-overdriven. This combination of compression and overdrive provides a wide range of great tones, from slightly rough compression to warm, compressed overdrive to a smooth, glossy, compressed drive tone, just like adding an extra channel to a clean amp.
