Item Name: Covington - 8" CabKing 110V SKU: COVCABK08 Description: The Covington 8" CabKing 110V is a multi-part grinding and polishing system supplied as three separate items: the motor and hood, the base, and the accessories and wheels. This style of machine is built to carry multiple 8 inch wheels so you can move through shaping, smoothing, and finishing steps in a controlled sequence without constantly changing setups. The hood and base configuration is designed to contain spray and manage the work area while you run the wheels wet, which is the standard approach for glass and lapidary grinding to keep heat down and improve surface quality. How it is used: In lampworking and glass fabrication, this type of wheel machine is used for coldworking tasks after the piece is made. You use it to true up edges, refine profiles, remove saw marks, and work toward a finished surface before final polish. It is especially useful for pendants, cabochon style work, small blown components, and any project where you need repeatable control over flat spots, bevels, and edge cleanup. Because the system is organized around separate wheels and accessories, it supports a step-by-step workflow from coarse shaping through finer finishing. Dimensions: Wheel size: 8" Electrical: 110V
