What this Course is About This is Resource 8 in a series of textile resources created for primary teachers. The aim of this course is to give pupils their first experience of designing and making with smart and E Textiles as well as light-up & glow effects, through a mix of fun, hands-on activities and creative learning. Pupils will explore what E Textiles are, and how they can shape the future, while also making connections to everyday life, creativity, and potential careers The resource includes: Practical activities (making and design challenges Worksheets to support learning Careers in design, technology, and innovation. Artists linked to design challenge Health & safety Reflect and recall sheet to consolidate knowledge By the end of this course, pupils will have developed an understanding of E textiles and the role they play in our lives, as well as enjoyed creative opportunities to make and design with E textiles.
