DESCRIPTION This hat is by Star Junior, which indicates that it is a youth model. It appears to have been produced in Sweden, most likely sometime during the 1910s or 1920s. It was sold new by a shop called Nya Beklädnadsaffären. The hat is distinctly blue in colour and features a matching grey-blue hatband. Inside, it is lined with light-coloured silk with a dark blue ground. The base of the crown bears both the brand name and the retailer’s logo. It has a dark blue leather sweatband, stamped in gold lettering with the retailer’s name. The condition is good considering its age, though there are some imperfections that become apparent upon closer inspection.
