DESCRIPTION This hat is of Italian origin and was produced by the legendary hat maker Borsalino, most likely sometime during the 1930s, or possibly slightly later. It was imported into Sweden and sold new by A.F. Bodecker, Stockholm’s most renowned hat shop, which has long since closed. The hat is a warm grey in colour, with a matching hatband and edge binding. The interior is lined with champagne-coloured silk, bearing both the manufacturer’s and the importer’s names. The lining also features the original owner’s initials. It has a grey leather sweatband, on which both logos appear again. As for condition, there are a few points worth noting. The hat shows some minor wear, mainly in the form of small marks, particularly on the hatband. There is also visible wear to the edge binding. These signs of use are clearly noticeable upon close inspection, but they do not affect the overall appearance when the hat is worn. The inside is in near-perfect condition. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own assessment of the condition. SIZE The inner circumference of the hat measures 53,5 centimeters. It can be stretched approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
