[A USA-made lineup named after Brooklyn, the birthplace of Gretsch drums] Brooklyn, New York, has a long history with Gretsch drums, and the Gretsch Brooklyn Series is a series that strongly reflects the individuality of New York. Handcrafted in their Ridgeland, South Carolina factory, each guitar delivers the punchy, classic, and warm tone of the Gretsch tradition. The 6-ply North American maple/poplar shell is slightly thicker than Gretsch's USA Custom Drums and features a 30-degree bearing edge. Packed with the series' unique personality, the toms and snare feature 3.0mm thick 302 double flange hoops, creating a new, open, ambient Gretsch tone. This is achieved by matching it with the 3mm thick double flange hoop that was the standard in the 1950s. It has the characteristic Gretsch core and a fat tone with just the right amount of softness, making it suitable for a wide range of styles, from old-school jazz and bossa nova to modern pop and rock sounds.
