Used Pearl Music City Custom snare now in stock!] Music City Custom USA Solid Shell Snare Drums "Music City Custom" is a snare drum manufactured by Pea rl USA in Nashville, USA. All snare drums feature solid shells and are available in two sizes: deep (6.5) and shallow (5). They're available in four woods: classic maple, cherry, walnut, and ash. All shells feature maple reinforcement. Everything from drilling to painting and assembly is done by Pearl USA. Seven different inlays, each with a distinctive visual impact, are available, adding a touch of individuality to the drums. Unlike plywood shells, which are made from several layers of wood, solid shells are difficult to mold into a perfect circle, requiring highly advanced techniques. Furthermore, because there is no unnecessary glue inside the shell, the shell's resonance is transmitted naturally, resulting in a dry, solid sound. Equipped with reinforcements above and below the shell, the core of the sound is further enhanced. Solid Maple has a harmonious sound of hardness and softness, with punch in the midrange and subdued overtones.
