"Towards a new standard" Many guitarists prefer to play through an actual guitar amp and cabinet, rather than through a wedge monitor via a PA system. This is because not only does the sound, but the feel of the performance is significantly different when using an actual amp, cabinet, and monitor speakers. This difference is particularly noticeable with low-cost monitor systems.
