The Roll Up Door Lock automatically locks when the box truck or trailer door is closed. Upon closing, the lock’s interior jaws spring open to close around the carbon steel pins in the boot. Often times this lock is referred to as a “slam lock”. The slam lock is designed specifically to reduce a driver’s time and effort needed to secure the trailer with a padlock and hasp system. The lock includes the lock body, mounting bolts (for dry van or refrigerated doors) and hardware that is welded to the truck or trailer floor. The floor hardware is referred to as the “boot” and is available in steel (8050-ST) or aluminum (8050-AL). The unit does not interfere with cargo handling. Includes ABLOY lock cylinder. Quick release option (8051) can be purchased separately for the Roll Up Door Lock. This add on allows locked roll up doors to be opened from the inside.
