Promark's new Hybrid Rods offer drummers the subdued volume of a rod with the feel and response of a stick. The shorter rod section is available in two materials: bamboo, which has a slightly grainy character, and nylon, which has a soft feel, and the grip section is made of Fire Grain Hickory. The rod has an O-ring, and by fine-tuning the tightness, you can change the attack feeling you get. The Fire Grain Hickory grip is slightly thicker due to the rods at the tip, making it 2B size.
