At that time, many legendary bluesmen, including B.B. King, Albert King, Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, and Otis Rush, came to Japan one after another, and young guitar players who saw the real thing all became fascinated with blues guitar. At the time, listening to the black bluesmen who were the roots of blues music was more cutting edge and trendy than Eric Clapton or the Rolling Stones. In Osaka and Kyoto, bands such as the West Road Blues Band, Ueda Masaki and South to South, Breakdown, and Yuugadan were born, and blues sessions were held every night in various parts of the country outside of Kansai.
